They gave us a very good price for our move from west to east coast and said that this price will not increase although we have asked it many times. We said okay and gave them an appointment around 10am. They came at 6pm, the next morning we were going to start 3000 miles roadtrip. The first thing they did was to talk about the price and increase it. Although we have packed all the boxes , they wanted to sell us their boxes for astronomic prices (such as $29.99 for a box, $6.99 for the thinnest tape which is sold for a buck in dollar stores), as you want to finish this process quickly you say "OK" to everything. Basically, the price increased $700 automatically even before they started to load. In that rush they make you to sign a contract which basically you have NO RIGHTS. You have no time to read those papers. After they got their check (they prefer cash by the way!!!) the guy called the other guys whom did not speak a word of English (later he confessed that he picked day laborers in front of Home depot) and didn't have any idea about moving. (One of them did not know how to use a screwdriver). Their loading took all night, they wanted to pack every box we have made and spent 10 rolls of that cheap tape. But the price was not fixed yet, when they get tired, they want to charge extra for the Bulk items which they were not. Basically the price keep increasing till they leave your property. We thought the problems were over but off-course not. They delivered our stuff after ONE MONTH, we had to pay rent for an empty apartment. Once they pick your stuff they are not interested with you anymore, when you call it is hard to find someone to talk with. FINALLY, our furniture came WITH ADDED EXPENSES off-course. They somehow managed to DOUBLE the price and refused to unload till we gave them US postal money order. This time the number of the people were only two, one driver and one international student which probably has no working rightsin this country. Was the trouble over? NOOOO, some of our boxes were missing and we filed a notarized claim with the Anthem claim company (some of the reviews say that this is a fake company owned by the moving company, my lawyer will investigate it) which was more than THREE months ago, could not get our check yet!!! We were still so patient and when we called for the status of the claim check, never got an answer, promised to call back but never called. Finally our patience was over and called 5-6 times in a day, which they confessed that they have never intended to pay this claim in a short time. You always talk to a secretary who has NO ANSWERS at all times. Boss is always outside or on a meeting. These guys gave us too much trouble and Whatever it takes I am filing a lawsuit against them to compensate all the excess pricing ,my claim amount and our expenses during our wait for the delivery and will also file a complaint to California public utilities commission and US Department of transportation. DO NOT MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE !!! NEVER NEVER DEAL WITH THOSE SCAMMERS!!!! THEY ONLY GIVE YOU TROUBLE!!!
