My husband was coming home from deployment, and I was trying to move back to North Carolina so we could be with him. I first contacted the company around mid to late July, and wasn't planning on moving until late August or early September. I felt very comfortable after talking with Michael, since he assured me that they understood that my car is a very valuable item and that I wouldn't want to trust just anyone with my car. That they didn't charge an agent fee and I received a quote online from "Sue" for I believe $900, which was less than any other quotes I had received. So I had then scheduled with Michael for them to come pick up my car on August 27th, so it could have a head start, and I would hopefully only have to ret a car for a couple of days. I had also booked my moving truck the same day, and frequently got updates and confirmation emails and phone calls from the company, which is what I would expect, and I appreciated those very much. Well during this time, I didn't receive any follow up emails or phone calls from anyone with eCar movers. I had to call them numorous times to make sure everything was still set up, I was told each time that someone would call me back, and all I would receive was an email if I was lucky. Well the month passed and it was the week before the scheduled pick up date, I had just received a phone call from the moving truck, giving me a time frame for arrival and again, just following up one more time. Still nothing from eCar, so I called them on the Thursday before to see if he could Give me an estimated time that I could expect them, I was told that I would receive a phone call about 2 days before I could expect the truck..... Uh well, it was about 2 business days before so this had me a little worried. But in the craziness of moving, my brain didn't realize that. Monday rolls around and I called to see where they were and he told me, because of a storm in Florida, it was going to affect my pickup date. Well, no that doesn't work for me, because there in Utah, there is no storm, and I know for a fact that they weren't sending a truck from Florida all the way to Utah, then back to NC. I asked to speak to somebody else because Michael began to talk very rudely to me, then he said "I'm the only one" so my thought was he was sending emails from "Sue" to seem more professional and so that nobody would realize he was the ONLY person working there, the ONLY person I could speak to, and the ONLY person who didn't know how to treat a customer. I assured him that I would be writing a review about this terrible experience, and after I told him that, he says "well, then we don't want your business"..... I was livid!!!!!!! And I lost it! I couldn't believe he would let me count on his company for over a month, and the day he is supposed to have had a truck at my house, he tries to cancel. We both calmed down and he assured me that he would try his very hardest to find a driver to come pick up my car. So by either Tuesday or Wednesday, my car is still there and he told me that he has paid the driver $50 out of his own pocket to drop a car and come pick up mine. Finally by Friday, the driver shows up and my car leaves. I arrive to NC and my car took much longer than he told me to expect. I received a phone call from the truck driver telling me an expected arrival date and he tells me what forms of payment he accepts.... When Michael had my credit card information, because he told me I could pay with a credit card, but never told the moving company that I had paid, thanks for that! The driver also complained to me that he had to stop numerous times for more fuel because I had packedy car with some of my stuff. I've never moved a car like this, so I had no idea I wasn't supposed to pack it, and Michael sure didn't inform me on that. I felt like the driver was trying to get me to pay him more money for the inconvenience and he was also very unfriendly to speak to. Finally my husband comes home, and a few days later my car arrives, I was sure to bring him with me in full uniform so the truck driver wouldn't try to cheap me out of more money and wouldn't treat me like he did over the phone. And to top it off, Michael did NOT pay $50 out of his own pocket because I was charged that $50 on my card. This guy is a cheat. DO NOT MOVE YOUR VEHICLE WITH HIM!!!!!!!
