Trusted Moving & Storage was late, unresponsive, and not honest.
1) While working with Amandaa, I provided an inventory of items to be shipped and she quoted me an estimate of $1600. However, the overall bill was $3,575. Once the truck was loaded, it was demanded I pay an additional $975 for the cubic feet of my goods and another $1000 for wrapping materials. I had no choice. (The estimate states, "Does not include packing materials or packing service." - I packed my own goods, but they boxed or wrapped furniture. None of this was discussed ahead of time). As to the additional $975, I was told I had more items than the inventory (who knew shelves counted extra on top of the bookcase?).
2) The pick-up of my goods was scheduled between 3-5 PM, but the drivers did not arrive until 8 PM and worked until 1 AM. (I was told 2 hours was all they would need). Becuase of this, I missed my farewell dinner in CA.
3) My goods did not arrive for 21 days - although the paperwork provides them with up to 30 days, the 21 days was way above the national average.
4) Trusted Moving & Storage did not keep in contact with me once the goods picked up. Lea provided terrible customer service. I had to keep calling to find out anticipated arrival date and ultimately, it was the driver who kept me informed.
5) They also ignored and have not responded to my request for damaged goods.
Overall, I do not recommend Trusted Moving and Storage because of the cost overrun, the lack of honesty, and aggrevation this move entailed.
