Wrecked the weekend

Submitted this review about worldwide van lines

When my brother was moving to St Lois he hired Worldwide Van Lines for the move. He had found work in St Louis and was flying in to see us, pack up, and help the company load his things. The plans were that my brother would arrive Tuesday and pack his room. Thursday morning Worldwide Van Lines would load the truck. Friday we would go to Busch Gardens and celebrate. Saturday morning brother would fly back to Saint Louis and rest before he went back to work on Sunday. He had to request time off to do this and was not paid during this time off. He also bought plane tickets both ways. Worldwide Van Lines were supposed to show up on Thursday morning at 9 AM but never arrived. All we got was a call that said they had "truck problems" and gave no set time or day for when they would be here. You would think a moving company would have more than one truck and would have sent their backup if the truck was in for repairs. Instead, Worldwide left us waiting while they got the truck repaired. It took many calls to get ahold of the company to get more details and when they would be coming. When we finally got ahold of Worldwide Van Lines they gave a free extra 100 pounds and said they'd be there Friday morning. Friday morning came and they didn't. They rescheduled five times that day leaving us all waiting all day long. First it was 9 AM, then 10 AM, 11AM, 2 PM and 3 PM! At 4 PM they still had not arrived so brother called demanding a refund in order to hire other movers. He isn't going to be able to move Friday because they took so long. He won't make it back in town on Saturday because Saturday will be spent getting other movers to pack his stuff. Brother is stuck calling into work and explaining what happened. His boss is not happy, either! He will have to buy a new plane ticket to get back to work. Worldwide Van Lines ruined our weekend and cost us a lot in time, frustration and money. Do not hire them!
