Extremely poor service

In the very beginning of my move, I spoke to Chase Harris, who appeared very knowledgeable. He assured me they were not a broker, and indeed had their own DOT number, which they do, but as I later found out after I hired another moving company, they only have one truck. What a joke! I initially hired them to move me from NH to SC and had first contacted them in the beginning of August, 2011. The move dates they told me were available, and that it would take a total of 3 days to get the truck from NH to SC. Fine so far. When the actual move date came, they told me the truck would be there the following morning, due to poor road conditions, because there was a bad hurricane that ripped through (this was true, but only in parts of the area they would be traveling through). I informed them that the roads were fine, because I traveled that very same route 2 days prior to that phone call. Chase Harris, the sales rep, who was in the Florida office, explained to me that the driver was on impassible roads and the DOT had told the driver that he could leave the following morning first thing. The following morning arrived, and still no driver. I finally got tired of waiting and called the Florida office back. He said the driver was on his way. Baloney. The driver then called me and informed me he was in Connecticut, with a broken down truck that needed repairs, and he had a stop in Boston before he could come up to my home. It was then that I got tired of the lying. I decided to cancel the service, and tried calling Chase, but all I kept getting was his voice mail. So I not only left a voice mail with him, but also left one with dispatch, and the Customer Service Dept. Later that same day I received a phone call from the driver, asking me if I still wanted him to come up. Apparently they have NO COMMUNICATION, because the driver was surprised that I wanted to cancel, and told me to call the main office, which I told him I already did. He was very upset with me, telling me he would be losing money. I explained I was sorry, but the company does not have good business practices, and that I had decided to hire another moving company. I had never received any phone calls back from this company, nor any emails. I am surprised they are able to remain in business with the poor service they exhibit, and would strongly discourage anybody from hiring them in the future.
