We were told that the shipment would arrive on the weekend following the pickup. It came 30 days later, the last day permitted by the contract. Since the van was larger than the one promised, we had to pay the receiving city a fee for traffic interruption....and the drivers didn't show up. Contact with the company, the "coordinator" was difficult, and invoived trying to leave messages on an answering machine. Once the contract was signed and the 1/3 deposit received, no one answered their messages by phone or e-mail. We were not told the van drivers phone number at any time by Worldwide, so we couldn't make direct contact. It seems that Worldwide subcontracts with "gypsy" drivers that rent vans and go around picking up loads for as long as possible. In our case, the pick-up van was a U-Haul, the delivery van a Penske truck. The drivers reported that they had been to Texas and Illinois between the pick-up and the delivery....hardly direct route as we were told. They did call and leave a message a day before pick up and delivery. At delivery, more fees were requested and previous payments were overlooked. Thankfully the police were on hand, with copies of the payments, and the contract so the situatuion was resolved. In conclusion, "Caveat Emptor". is the watchord....we will not use this service again and suggest you check them out to see other peoples experiences before getting involved with them.... The address listed on the contract in Delray Beach, though an actual address (not Lewes, Del.) according to the police there, they are not listed as occupying it or being in Delray Beach. I believe the "company is a series of cell phone numbers answered by a large number of people, or a few people with ever changing names. They state in the contract that they will be held harmless in any dispute, but will act as a third party in court in Delray Beach, Palm Beach county only. So, read and understand and take your chances if you choose to sign with this operation.
