Able Moving was the company sent by the broker I went through (World Wide Van Lines). They are located in Chicago. They showed up 5 minutes past the outside "window" given me. When they got there, the drivers were courteous and did the packing in a normal timespan. They told me that my things would arrive in Florida on Sunday (movers came to origin on Friday). I called my assistants in Florida to let them know. They stayed home all day waiting for the call. I called every number I had to try to reach someone to no avail on Sunday. I called on Monday and was finally told that they would have the driver call me. He was not even in the city I was storing my things, but assured me that he would be there that afternoon. After no call and no show I called him about 7:00 p.m. He hadn't even left the other city yet. Finally on Tuesday they showed up. When I got my credit card bill, they had charged me almost $1,000 more than my quote and I asked for proof of the weight of my truck and a receipt detailing the breakdown. The "boss" Jeremy told me he wasn't in the f*&*^$% mood for me today and hung up on me. After several more phone calls to the broker I finally got to the right department only to leave a message. World Wide Van Lines is impossible to get if you aren't booking a new trip. I had friends meet my things because I couldn't be there and they said my items appear to be in good condition but I won't know until I get there. I was mortified at the customer service aspect and will never use this company again. I have moved both in state and out of state several times and this was the worst experience I have ever had!
