NO NO NO NO. Do NOT use this company. They are unprofessional, lazy, lack communication skills, and will do anything to get any extra money out of you. Yes, they quoted me the lowest price to begin with, but that ended up going up $700 once they added in several other hidden fees that other carriers don't do (requesting a specific pick up day or delivery day, a "long carry" fee, etc.) This was a 70% increase! I had several items stolen and several more damaged. Worse, they wouldn't let me increase my insurance option on the day of pickup, even though I had a funny feeling about these guys. It is worth it to pay extra and get a real moving company. Here is my laundry list of complaints. Do yourself a favor and find someone reputable who is honest, reliable and will perform the service that you pay them thousands of dollars to do! 1. They were extremely late for the pickup. The night before, I received a phone call quoting between 10-11am. They did not arrive until after 4:00pm. I wouldn’t have minded as much if they had just told me they were going to be late, but they just kept telling me that they were pushing the time back further and further. Moreover, I paid extra for this specific day and I was told that they would arrive before 12:00pm! 2. When I spoke to the relocation agent on the phone, he mentioned that I could add insurance at a later time. Historically, when moving, other companies give you the valuation options when you sign the paper work on the day of the move. When the movers showed up, I was not able to pick any additional insurance options, instead, the guy told me, “Oh, usually that’s done beforehand.” Therefore I could not add insurance even though I wished to. 3. On the day of delivery, several items were missing from my shipment. My boxspring was not delivered, nor was a plastic box of sheets that I had included. Moreover, the moving guy didn’t even write down the plastic box of sheets on the inventory. 4. Of the items that did arrive, several things were damaged, some of the point where they cannot be repaired! Items included: ironing board, mattress, desk, and boxes had been torn open and taped back together! One box was missing several items from it. 5. Lack of communication – After we realized several items were missing from the shipment, the guys called the warehouse and learned that the boxspring was indeed there. They told me they were going to do another pick-up, swing by the warehouse, get the boxspring and come back between 3-5pm. I called them at 4:30 asking them the status, left a message, and I never heard back. I still have not heard anything back. 6. On both ends of the move, the guys told me that I had a “bit of a long carry” which would carry an extra fee. This was never communicated to me while I was booking the move, and they tried to swizzle me into paying an extra $400 to move my stuff 20 feet down a hallway. 7. Overall customer service is absolutely HORRENDOUS. You can't get in touch with your "relocation specialist" again after you book the move. You have no go to point person to find out where your stuff is - they send you through a long phone tree and ultimately to a website to get the status.
